So I was looking to curb my Makeup Revolution obsession as I have so many products from the brand, but they are just bringing out so many great new products at the moment (Skincare is on its way and bath bombs/ body mists launched yesterday).
My local Superdrug didn’t stock much Revolution, so imagine my surprise when I went in yesterday to see the store had a refurb and there were three new displays full of makeup products for Makeup Revolution, Revolution Pro & I Heart Revolution- so I couldn’t resist and picked up some products.
I picked up:
- Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in C4
- Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Eyeliner in Black
- I Heart Revolution Fixing Spray in Guava and Rose
- Revolution Pro 4k Highlighter Palette in Gold
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer in C4
This is my “go to” concealer at the moment and there are 25 shades which caters for all different skin tones. It has great coverage concealing dark circles and redness. The texture is really creamy and it sits really nicely on the skin. It has been compared to the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (which I haven’t used) but it is a snip at just £4.
Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Eyeliner in Black
I mentioned on my Instagram a few weeks back about how I had bought the Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Eyeliner in blue and loved it so wanted to get the same eyeliner in black. These eyeliners are new by Revolution Pro and they remind me of the Marc Jacobs Highliners (which I have two of) as the gel-like consistency means they just glide onto the skin and are really vibrant and pigmented.
I Heart Revolution Fixing Spray in Guava and Rose
I haven’t used many fixing sprays but have heard lots of buzz about them online so I picked up the Guava and Rose Fixing Spray which smells amazing! Now, there was only one left on the shelf which I think may have been spritzed already but I decided to take it anyway (It’s not something I have ever done and I wouldn’t have taken it if it was another type of product!) It is hydrating and makes your skin feel very refreshed. It also sets very quickly which is what you want when you are just leaving the house.
Revolution Pro 4k Highlighter Palette in Gold
I have admired this highlighter palette from afar, and finally picked it up yesterday! The highlighters in this palette are so pigmented and intense, I am very impressed! There are four shades, a silvery/ white, a rose gold, a vibrant gold (which I think looks very similar to the Fenty Beauty KillaWatt Freestyle Highlighter) and a bronzey gold.
The texture of the highlighter is very soft and buttery and you get large pans of product (which is why I love the brand Nip and Fab so much!). There is a lot of glitter in the highlighters so if you aren’t a fan of glitter in your highlight, then it may not be for you. But if you are looking for a blinding highlight/ glow then it definitely is for you. I will be using the rose gold shade on my face but I will also be using the gold and bronzed gold on my decolletage for that extra glow on bronzed skin this summer.
I mean seriously, look at those swatches!
Makeup Revolution are a fast moving, innovative, customer focused brand and I have been a fan of the brand for a while. If like me, you want to me kept up to date with the latest Revolution news, keep your eyes peeled to their instagram account.
